Replacement interface cable for 001

Has anyone had success with using any other interface cables with the 001 especially something longer than the 6' one that comes with it? My understanding is that it is just a standard SCSI-2 cable and if that's in fact the case then I can get a new cable anywhere but I just wanted to make sure. And I hear some of you saying "Just upgrade to 002". Well, I say "if it aint't broke don't fix it - just move it further away". Thanx for the input.

There was much discussion about this, search back a ways, you'll find info on suppliers and cable type. I believe it was a Centronics Mini50 or something like that. And no, it is not a SCSI 2 cable, but you can get one in a longer length(i think 15 feet was the max usable length).

I have tried searching this UG but I am not getting that many results. I think it only goes back a year or so.
