How to get MPV

I finally got DVDplanner up and running. It appears that it only accepts MPV type input. How can I get from .vob to MPV?

Thanks guys. That worked perfectly. Now, next problem. Let's say I want to pick a little chunk out of a .vob. In WCreator, I can see the frames as I scroll through, but in vobedit preview, I never could tell what LBA's were for what frames. DVDplanner lists each frame number but how can I see what frame I have? Do I have to use VertDub to break up the .vob and make small clips and then come back into planner to relink it or is there a way while in planner to see what I have? Sorry to sound so dumb but I'm just trying to learn how to use this program in the most logical way.

It might be easier if you explained what you are trying to achieve. At the moment dvdplanner does not support VOB files as an input, but it will at some point. If you are trying to cut a specific cell from a vob file, then i would split the vob by cell, then demux the mpv from the cell.

Splitting the vob 

You can use Cuttermaran to cut your stream into parts, reorder the clips and save as new complete mpv and ac3 streams. Standard cutting is at the I-frame (begin) and P-frame (end), but with an external encoder you can cut at any frame (e.g. via the freeware QuEnc). goonix
