saving timeline views?

MessageAuthor

You want "track views" in your screensets window.

RE: saving timeline views?

yeah. i know. thanks. i have a project with something like 140 tracks. when i try to save views in 'track views' the vertical positions are not saved. for example, i tried to save one view of tracks 1-30, another for 31-60, then 32-90, etc. they always show tracks 1-30. if i zoom in horizontally and then use one of the saved views it does return the horizontal view, just not the vertical. edit: actually, checking further, it does seem to store the vertical zoom level but not the scroll position. /edit thanks again, BabaG

RE: saving timeline views?

Yeah, vertical scroll position is not saved with Screensets / track views (for whatever reason). But SWS Save / Restore (current) arrange view can be used (5 slots) (post #15)

RE: saving timeline views?

gotta love reaper. that pretty much makes the screensets useless to me. saving arrange view is a useful workaround but it cuts the number of views in half. and the thing you've gotta love is that when you search for the action with 'arrange' it doesn't show up because of a typo. it's listed as 'arrenge'. made buttons for the 5 slots. will try it out. thanks, BabaG

Haha :) Good spotting. Going to report it in the SWS extension thread. EDIT: Already fixed for the next SWS pre :)
