is there a way to do some action when renaming a track?

hi! Basically i am looking to do an action which is triggered when i am renaming a track. Is it possible? any script example you can think of that uses this? Thank you

I edited the code so that it should work with multiple project tabs. You can put a script called __startup.lua (that's 2 * _ in the filename) in your Scripts folder and Reaper will execute that on start. So have one line in it. Code:

No worries, what are you doing when you rename a track?

I added adding and removing tracks to the script. When you remove though, the pointer to the removed track is invalid so any required details would have to be stored with the track collecting part of the script. At the moment it just tells you the name of the deleted track. I don't think notifying beyond the fact that track(s) have moved is doable... Code:
