Different dvd, same MakeItEasy problem, Grrr!!!

MessageAuthor

I ripped my simpsons season 1 dvd last month with smartripper/makeiteasy/dvd2one and all looked superb until I selected a chapter from the menu. Chapter 2 of epiodes one started with chapter three of episode 4, and so on. I put it down to bad luck :( I ripped my Red Dwarf six epiodes disk last night and exactly the same thing happened :( :( I burnt it to dvdr, all the menu's play superb etc but when I tried to open the 4th scene of episode four its the first scene of epiodes two that starts. Similarly, when I try play all episodes from the main menu it isn't the first scene of the first episode that starts - it's the 3rd scene of the 2nd episode :( :( :( Has anyone come across this or can anyone assist? One thing I had to do was rename the vobs from vts_02 to _01 so dvd2one would run, but I renamed them before I put them back in the original folder so can't imagine this is the problem. I didn't have to do this with the simpsons so it can't be the problem. Thanks in advance, Will

I will check this out when I get home, as I did Simpsons_D1 last night as a test.

Ok, ripped the vobs to my harddrive into a folder with DVDDecrypter, ran InstantCopy on them, generating a .pdi file. Burnt the .pdi file, and looking at the DVD, all of the chapters are exactly where they should be, it plays past chapter points, and it goes back to the menu when the episode is done. It looks fine (albeit these dvds were not the best to start with) In Instant Copy, I stripped away the English 2 channel, and the French, and left 5.1 and commentary. Re-encoded the episodes themselves at something like 48% or so. (Simpsons S1 Disc 1)

Could you post the structure of your Simpson DVD. It seems that we got different versions since I only got English 5.1 and 2.0 Directors comments. Thanks
