We have been doing a session this weekend and now I am trying to bounce the tracks to burn to disc, however when I do this all of the tracks are sped up a bit and sound a little chipmunk-y. I know that there's probably and easy explanation, but I cannot figure it out, have never had this problem. Can anyone advise me? Thanks, Bryan
it sounds like you're converting the sample rate from 44.1kHz to 48kHz. try bouncing again, and this time make sure the sample rate in the bounce dialog is the same as the sample rate of the session.
I recorded in 24 bit 48khz, am trying to bounce using the same specs but it is still doing this sped up thing. Any more help is greatly appecited. Bryan
make sure you recorded at 48k. On the session you're trying to bounce, make sure you have the right playback engine selected (SETUPS-->PLAYBACK ENGINE set the sample rate at 48k). You could also TRY setting it to 44.1 K (if it sounds right, then you actually recorded at 44.1k). Don't make this mistake: if you are bouncing to disc in order to master the song, then make sure the master session playback engine is 44.1k.
Thanks for all of your help. Indeed I did know that it was a sample rate issue. I have an external digital input source that I had my digi slaved to that, however, this little bit was forgotten by me over the session as I did not really use the external source. It was set at 44.1 but my session was set up for 48. I set the digi to use an internal sync source, made sure my bounce sample rate parameters were the same as the session and everything worked out just fine after that. Again thanks for your help, it got me started in the right direction for solving the problem. Bryan
