Integration of UA 2-610 ans SPLs Charisma 2

Hello, how can I integrate my two pre-processors "UA 2-610" and my "SPL-CH2" (tube-stuff) to ProTools (HD 7.2)? Now I do the following: Microphone ---> SPL-CH2 ---> UA 2-610 ---> Channel in Control 24 How do I have to connect this stuff now when I want the SPL-CH2 and the UA 2-610 in an AUX-Input or as Inserteffects in an Audiochannel in ProTools? I would route everything through a patchbay for flexibility. It sounds like you have a Control24. This is the ProControl forum but no worries. You didn't mention what interface since this is the ProControl (TDM) I'll assume you have a 192 (or 888 or Apogee) The C24, although it has mic pres isn't the primary input for ProTools if you are using outboard. The I/O Interface is. The signal chain could be a couple of different ways: Mic>Charisma2>UA2-610>192 To me this would only be if you are going for a very specific sound. or I suppose you could do this: Mic>UA2-610>Charisma2>192 If it were me I would most likely do this: Mic>UA2-610>192 with the Charisma 2 as a HW insert. Maybe someone else will chime in with other options. When in doubt consult the user's guide. hth

You will need two matched I/O channels for the HW insert. ex: 7&8 in 7&8 out Connect them to the SPL either direct or via patchbay. Then assign and name your insert under Setups > I/O Setup>HW Inserts. You should then be able to assign your SPL from PT like a plug-in under 'i/o'
