Recording Wet/Post-FX

New user here, need a bit of help. Coming from Sony Vegas/ACID workflow, I'm interested in seeing if I could standardize on Reaper. What I'm trying to do is apply Ozone 5 across a live FOH stereo board-mix for realtime finalizing for broadcast purposes. In Vegas, it's as simple as setting up a stereo input buss, applying the Ozone plug against that buss, routing it to a single stereo track for recording the finalized audio component for eventual distro via podcasting and dup'ing the buss out to the master out to exit the USB interface and be "muxed" back with the post-switched video stream in realtime. So far, I haven't been able to record the post processesd signal to a track in Reaper - it always comes back dry. Any help? (I AM able to bounce to disk live and record the processed signal - is this the preferred way to accomplish this task?)

Hello ajcourtney and welcome to these forums. You'll find many helpful people here and a lot of useful information. You can insert some FX as "Input FX" - the audio is then processed before it reaches the track. Or, add the FX as usual, set the track to Record its Output (right-click the RecArm button for the menu) Or, add the FX as usual, record the audio dry, then Render the track to apply the FX.

many thanks! i never would have thought to right click on the record indicator to record the output vs. the input. Worked great! - and is actually much more straighforward than dealing with an input buss.
