Advice for a VSTi sampler working fine in Reaper ?

Hi, I'm posting this thread because I recently bought a Machfive 2 copy and had the hardest times with it in Reaper. I thought about selling it and buying Tascam GVI but it seems, looking in the forum, that for some users it doesn't work too and also crashes. My question is : is there a VSTi sampler able to read ".gig" files that is GARANTEED to work fine in Reaper and that one can buy without fearing those crashes which make loose much money and much time. Please share your experiences of things that work fine, in general or at least during your own usage. Thanks in advance.

I do not know about the gig format but Kontakt works fine for me in Reaper. I used cdxtract to convert Emu files to Kontakt and it worked fine for the most part. I believe it will convert gig files as well. HTH shifter

Kontakt works fine and it can import giga studio format as well as many other ones. /boka

Never tried it but apparently this free sampler has a Windows installer and is Giga ready. However, they caution that it is still limited in its ability to handle large .gig libraries with .art files.
