Rendering issue/only rendering 1 track on master mix.

Hi there, I'm new to the forum, but have been using Reaper for quite a while and am currently running the latest updates. I'm having a very weird issue at the moment. I recorded a quick demo last night, it only has 3 tracks and is 4 mins long. When I went to render it to a stereo track, it would only render track 3 to the stereo mixdown. I've tried all the tricks I can find, time selection/master mix/highlighting tracks/etc and have racked my brain/restarted reaper/restarted computerOSX. I've searched the forum and Youtube and have followed exactly the recommended rendering procedures. I've done plenty of rendering before with no issues at all. Is it possible the waves plugins/apple plugins could be hanging up the rendering process? It's th eonly thing I can think of. I haven't tried disabling them yet as I'm at work and just thought of it..:) I'm at my wits end here. Never seen this before:/

I recently had a weird issue where no MIDI would record or sound even though meters registered a signal. I tried all the usual stuff (different VSTi etc.) but finally gave up and re-installed or rather installed the slightly later version. All worked just fine. I have no idea what was going on but as it only takes 4 nanoseconds is it worth a try? Maybe only after checking the RENDER dialogue box I suppose...

Hi, maybe your tracks 1,2 and 4 are not routed to the master track. maybe they are muted (too obvious, I know :) ). maybe the tracks are too hot and reaper mutes them. Also take a look at the differnces of these tracks to track 3 (take a look in the Routing Matrix of each track). If this doesn't work, soloing each track and try to render the song. Also remove the plugins (1 by 1) and try to render. So you could narrow the problem. Good luck

it is likely some user error that is going unnoticed, but.. I hear you have fx on each of the tracks, right? so maybe do a save as of the project so you create a test copy... then take each track and freeze it or use the 'apply fx and crop' that should give you a simple wav on each of the 3 tracks... then render those... that way no fx will be involved in the render.

Thanks everyone. After all that. it was user error. *embarrassed*! (thanks Barefaced) The master send box wasn't ticked in the i/o window. I just didn't see it, and don't remember ever unticking it?! Go figure. This is a great forum! :)
