That cursor.

MessageAuthor

I'd really like to know what's the problem but I can't figure it out. Could you please be more specific and write it down in detail? Maybe it's something we can help you with :)

RE: That cursor.

It's always annoying when your DAW doesn't read your mind isn't it? (I always have that problem with horizontal zoom -I need some of those glasses that know where your pupils are looking) The only problem with your suggestion is that it would irritate the user who does want to past(e) at the other end of their two-hour long project from the selection. We are a friendly community here and we'd like to help you. We do realise that REAPER doesn't suit everyone's workflow straight out of the box (err, download), but we like how it is very configurable and can be moulded to the way we work. I think you just need to learn how to get around REAPER. There are ways of moving that cursor (edit cursor?) where you need it; clicking on the timeline, or indeed anywhere in the edit area in the neighbourhood of your selection might reduce your blood pressure here. If you'd like to repost clarifying how this cursor misplacement impedes your workflow (some of our members didn't follow your problems), we will do our utmost to help you solve this. >

And you can also set the prefs to zoom where your mouse pointer is, instead of the cursor.
