What\'s up with the excess Grey area at beginning?

I'm curious about the grey area in the edit window at the beginning of the audio in a session. Why is there so much, and is it possible to get rid of it? Is it just there so when you open view options, there's room for them? (I/O, sends, comments, etc). I can't seem to find out anything about it anywhere. Thanks!

Depends on what you have selected to view in the edit window. You can get rid of it by pressing alt clicking on the field you don't want to see anymore. Hope this helps. Timothy

Do you have "continuous scrolling" on? It keeps the playhead centered and that's the reason why the grey eats about half screen in the beginning. Choose another scrolling mode if it bugs you
