Hello, I know Pro Tools Free was not recomended to work on an iBook, but it does great with one exception. I can't get the screen to open up all the way to the right. The farthest I can go is right before the pop-up window where you can adjust the grid to 16th's, 32nd's, 64th's, etc... I do alot of electronic music where I use grid mode constantly, and I'm always switching the grid spacing. Is this an isue with my screen resolution? Has anyone had this happen before? Thanks, Arty
Have you tried a higher screen resolution? I have my powerbook set to 1024 x 768, which some folks find really difficult to read, but I get the most out of my windows that way. Not sure what the max allowed on an iBook is. ------------------ Bruce Paine Digidesign
The max resolution on an iBook is 800 x 600. I'm able to size the windows so that I can use the scroll bars to see everythig I could normaly see, I just can't get the edit window to show the pop-up window where you adjust the grid. It doesn't let me use the scroll bar past a certain point. Everthing else seems to function just fine, with the limitation of certain RTAS not working. Arty
Maybe I don't understand the problem correctly, but can't you just grab the Edit window and slide it to left a bit so you can see the nudge/grid settings? (If so, couldn't you make an apple script to move the window back and forth if it's really annoying to drag it everytime. not sure if this would work within PT.) Or is it not even rendering that part of the window?
i've tried that, you still can't get to the grid and nudge values.

no, this one was in the forums last month. use the fn +/- keys. i think it was ctrl/opt (or some combination with the apple key) and the green +/- ('/' and ';'). that keyboard shortcut works for me. now if i could just get DAE going with my usb... (see 'error 32766 - roland ua-30) w
This was a problem with my TDM system. I changed the resolution to 832 X 624 and I was able to then slide the bar over. I don't know if this resolution is available on the iBook. I would like to find out though because I am thinkingn about running PT Free on an iBook. Joe
