I'm running mostly R0de mics. I have a NTK, NT-1a and I'm about to buy the K2 (by the way anyone have any experience with the new K2?) Currently running 002, but looking into adding Nuendo or Cubase SX so I can escape the track limitations.... as usually my sessions run 60+ vocal tracks....Anyway, since I'm leaving my 002 for Nuendo I'm going to need some nice amps if I decide to record in the new DAW... I'm Also about to grab the Mackie Control Universal, and the Mackie Control extender, and Mackie Big Knob...(again any feedback from users who own these would be great!) Thanks all. Hollens
I've found really good success with the Summit Audio 2BA-221. The TD-100 is nice too. They are exceptional for the $$ IMHO. I'd reccommend looking for them at bayviewproaudio.com - a nice website, good folks. These are single channels, but you could buy 2 2BA's for right at $1000 or 2 TD-100's for less than and have the beginnings of 2 excellent signal paths! cheers!
Slim, what's the best way to do these searches? I've looked under subject for Mic Pre, and I can't find very specific threads.... Any you remember off the top of your head? Or know the best way to find it? I checked out those other two Mic Pre's and made note of em, but couldnt find any reviews speaking directly about the quality for recording Vox... so I'm still looking.

Use the + sign to include multiple words. +mic +pre searching over all forums in just the subject brings up a bunch of threads from the past year. You could add +best but that narrows it quite a bit, unless you search subject and body of threads. You can also use quotes to search for a phrase (just like google)... searching "mic preamp" in the 'subject only' brings up lots of good results too.
