Have you considered selling your PC and getting an Apple? If you did, you might find you don't have anything to write about. You could quit worrying about teching your system and get back to doing what Pro Tools was designed for. This may come across as flippant or arrogant, but I'm actually quite serious. I think your PC is the root of your problems. I can't identify with anything you've written here. But then, maybe I should just butt out and keep my big mouth shut. I don't even know why I ever look at the Windows forum. I only glance through every now and then, but it always makes me cringe to see what you guys are dealing with.
