Mbox 2 causes Reaper to crash

I installed the asio stand-alone drivers via avid/digidesign website, the first time i tried to alter audio device settings, Reaper crashed, and now everytime i load reaper, it brings me straight to it, and crashes. any ideas how to fix this? When you start REAPER via the Start Menu->Programs->REAPER->"REAPER (reset configuration data to factory defaults)" any bad setting in the preferences should be gone. The error you posted seems to point often to a DEP related problem. Hence turning DEP off may help sometimes:
