>"appears to be fixed by running OS 9.2.2" Hey John, how do you like the Mbox now Mine will be here tomorrow... Is the "Be There For Mbox" demo 24 tracks?
It Works!!!!! Now that I updated to 9.2.2, I can get 4 reverbs w/ multiple other plugs. Digi should go ahead and change the system requirements to 9.2.2 because that's what was killing my system was having 9.1 installed on it. I am very happy to report that the Mbox is now AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!
Im repeating myself but: "Hopefully DIGI will add this to their documentation if its not just an isolated case. If it isnt an isolated case, it really makes me wonder how much platform testing DIGI did since they didn't specify 9.2 as the required minimum OS in their documentation. They clearly state that 9.1 is acceptable. If 9.1 doesn't offer enough performance to run plugins, Id say that the minimum operating system should be spec'd 9.2.
Hi Folks, Maybe this is old news, but the problem my Tibook and many other Ti books and I books had with Mbox appears to be fixed by running OS 9.2.2. I performed the switch this morning and Walla, everything works fine. Previously I could not even run the Mbox demo without CPU interrupts of USB audio playback, [I think it was Error -9436]. I couldn't open even 1 Dverb. Now all is well! Thanks for the OS 9.2.2 suggestion Tech Support!! John :
The M Box seems to need 9.2.2 to work in an I book or Ti book. 9.2.1 is ok for desk top machines. When I was trying to get it to work with 9.2.1 I wached the little status window. The CPU yellow bar sat at about 20% of scale, however even at rest, playing no audio, every 3 seconds or so the little peak line, almost imperceptably, jumped to about 85% of scale so when audio and plug-ins were running it created a condition that caused the CPU to be over taxed and shut down playback. This condition completely dissappeared with 9.2.2. BTW I purchased 2 M Boxes from Cutting Edge Audio Group in San Francisco last week. 415 487 2323. It's a really cool product. I also got a DigiDrive Firewire 80. It's a perfect system for me. John
