best convertors for the 001

the 001 cannot do 96k so unless you plan on upgrading to an 002 or something else you can save a hundred bucks and just get the 48k rosetta.. do a search.. a lot of people love the apogee stuff.. petr

Even though the Rosetta 800 can go up to 96 k you can still use it at 48 or 44.1...Get the rosetta and forget the adat bridge...I own the Ai3 and I also own the Apogee Trak2, so if you're really willing to spend the money on converters alone (rosetta 800 8 ch. of a/d d/a) the apogee stuff is really good...Though I've heard decent things about the RME so you should check that out also...

the RME arent stand alone convertors...... is it possible to work with protools while there is another pci card installed in yhe computer? and how does it work. how do i connect it alltogether? thanks ariel

I'm using the Cranesong HEDD 192 AD/DA converter via SPDIF into 001 and I love it. No need to go to 96k with this thing although it can if you want it to later. Good luck, Allen
