Its come time to get a new cap and rotor for my 67 volvo 122S, and i am having a little trouble finding any from normal parts joints. I took a look on the net and the cap i have at the moment has the code VZS75Z6 and it appears that it is made to fit a Bosch VJU4BR8 dizzy, which is the dizzy used in the old 36 hp vdub engines. can anyone advise me as to whether this is the right dizzy for a late 67 B18b series engine? the only volvo reference to it i have found is for a b16. also, if this is not the right dizzy can anyone tell me what is right or best for the car?
There should be a Bosch Part number, thats starts 0 231, on the dizzy body. Does you dizzy have a vacuum unit? I would recommend going electronic with a pertronix system. Put up your email i can send you a pdf of distributors used in the amazon.

my email is B20F i see that the 003 dizzy is on your list for a B18B, any guesses if that is for all forms of the B18B? i understand the 122S B18B is slightly different to the P1800's
Theres also a 123 electronic for your car, includes up to 16 preprogrammed advance curves for different models/fuels etc. Agents in UK, AUS and US and many other countries. Try this link

saw the 123, looked real tempting, til i saw it is $550 Au, a few more bucks then i am planning to spend at the moment, but if my dizzy does give way in the future..
I think that the 003 is for the 122 and the 009 is for the 1800 B18B. Could also be the other way round, but I don't think that it makes any noticeble difference which one you use. Peter '73ES Edit: The 003 dizzy is for the B18B with the B camshaft, the 009 for the C camshaft and 2 carb's.
